Biography
Russian-Armenian pianist Eva Gevorgyan is a Yamaha Young Artist and laureate of over 40 international piano competitions, including top prizes at the 2018 Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists and the 2019 Van Cliburn Young Artist Competition.
Born in Moscow in 2004, Eva studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory's Central School of Music with Natalia Trull and at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid under Stanislav Ioudenitch. She has been a scholarship holder of the prestigious Klavier-Festival Ruhr, chosen by Evgeny Kissin.
Eva has performed as soloist with the Dallas Symphony, Lucerne Symphony, Warsaw Philharmonic, Mariinsky Orchestra, and many others. She has appeared in recital at the Royal Albert Hall, KKL Lucerne, Gewandhaus, and the Mariinsky Concert Hall, collaborating with conductors including Valery Gergiev, Vladimir Spivakov, and Vasily Petrenko.
Her debut CD under Melodiya, featuring works by Chopin and Scriabin, was released in 2022 to great acclaim. In 2021, she was a finalist at the XVIII International Chopin Piano Competition, receiving the special prize for the youngest female finalist.
